"Those were the Days" Music Centerpieces

"Those were the Days"  music theme luncheon.

Thank you to http://somethingcreatedeveryday.blogspot.com/2011/07/tiered-records-candy-display.html   for the great idea to use old records to make a 2 tier centerpiece.  Everyone loved the new and unique idea.  Most of the people that come to the luncheon are from the "Record" era!!

To make the 2 tier centerpiece I just used nuts, washers, extensions and acorn tops from Lowes Home Improvement store.  So easy to put together and take back apart for a new use sometime!!

It's all about the final touches!

Music Themed Centerpiece

Guest post from Doris!

There are many reasons you would want to celebrate music.

These Fan Flowers made out of copies of music added just the right touch.
There are many tutorials for these found on pinterest.

Using three different sizes, they were glued to a painted wood skewer and set in a cup of Plaster of Paris.
(Black Crimp paper was added to the cups after the picture was taken)

Copies of music served as place mats and strips of music with a big black note as napkin rings.
