Super Easy, Super Yummy Fruit Dip

Easiest Fruit Dip Ever
Combine 8 oz. Softened Cream Cheese  with one jar of Caramel Sauce.
Whip in your mixer until super smooth.  refrigerate and enjoy!!

* I prefer to use the Philadelphia brand of cream cheese, and Mrs. Richardson's Caramel.  (Sadly my store didn't have it when I went to buy it, but Hershey's works fine too!)

This dip is amazing for apples, strawberries, and grapes!

Cowboy Centerpiece- Have a Root Tootin' Time!!

Guest Post from Doris!

We love when our Cowboy Poets come to perform, it gives us a chance to decorate with a western flair.

Burlap is very inexpensive to make table toppers with.  Dollar Store bandanna's add the color.
During the summer you can pick up these cowboy hats fairly inexpensive.
Of course our candy to munch on was Root Beer Barrels.

Ideas:
Birthday party for your "little buck-a-roo?"
Goodbye party themed "Happy Trails?"
Getting to know you party "Howdy Partner"

Easter Printable

I am so grateful my Savior LIVES!  I am so thankful he can silence my fears, wipe away my tears, calm my troubled heart, and fill my life with blessings.  This is what Easter is all about to me.  He lives.  We will all live again.  What a blessing.

I love this printable for Easter, and I also like to give people this printable when they are going through a rough time.  Our Savior is the only one who can truly understand and help. #BecauseHeLives

Spring Centerpiece- "Let's Go Fly a Kite!"

Guest Post from Doris!

Nothing says SPRING like kites!!

These centerpieces are pretty self explanatory,  they are a great way to use those small pieces of scrapbook paper you just can't throw away.
I simply glued the paper kites to wire, and then hooked them to squares of fake grass (found at Hobby Lobby).  I also sprinkled spring colored Hershey Kisses for added color.
A few larger kits were made to hang on the podium, and by the serving table.

My daughter and niece both borrowed them for their Relief Society dinners in March.  They used yellow paper place-mats, and fun napkins to add even more color!

Preparing for General Conference= Learn the Apostles Names

When my oldest boy was 2 years old, I realized he knew lots of names.  Names of family, TV characters, and I decided he could totally learn the apostles names too!  I was right.  He learned them, and had fun doing it!  Since then I have always tried to make sure my kiddos know the names of the apostles, and can recognize them by their pictures.  I want them to love these men.  They are the real leaders in this world.  They are who I want my children to look to for heroes.  I also have learned that they listen better in General Conference if they know WHO is speaking.
Last Monday I posted these pictures found HERE.  I love that every time we pass by them, my 3 year wants to ask me who each and every one is.  He is learning them quick!  You can also print two sets of these cards and play a matching game with them, or go fish!

and just a simple list of their names.  Nothing fancy.

By Wednesday the kids already had their names in order.  (We learned this song with the old ones, and we just squeezed the new ones into it...)  Just simply displaying it in my home, gave my kids a desire to learn!!

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

Looking for some fun and easy ways to create joy this week for St. Patrick's Day?  We have you covered.

TREATS/SNACKS
Assemble pretzel shapes using traditional pretzels, and stick pretzels onto a parchment lined backing sheet. Then place a Rolo right in the middle.  Bake for 3 minutes at 350 degrees, or just when the Rolo starts to melt.  Take out of the oven and gently press a green M&M in the center!  So easy, so adorable!

Make these fun mint green cookies!   or another favorite are the BYU mint brownies

If your feeling healthy... you can still enjoy a fun green snack!  Simply dye some ranch green, and enjoy those veggies!

A tradition we have had for 4+ years is making
LEPRECHAUN TRAPS together with our cousins!  Here is what we do;
We bring a green snack to much on and share
Mint Oreos, Guacamole and chips, green deviled eggs, green crapes, green frosted cookies, green Pringles, green boxes of raisins, green wrapper string cheese...

Have a little photo booth with some fun props!

We set out an assortment of fun things to create with.  Markers, crayons, pipe-cleaners, fun st. patricks stickers, strings, beads, gold/green paper, ribbons, popsicles sticks, cups, and random boxes and containers from the recycle bin!

Then the kids get to work!  We just let them go to town and create!  They love it!
-
Each year the night before St. Patrick's day they set out their traps to catch a leprechaun.  The leperchans always come and leave a mess, some gold, some fun treats, but we have yet to catch one!

 OTHER FUN IDEAS
Some mornings on March 17th we have green eggs and ham... or simply lucky charms!!  One year my husband wrote each of us a card about how lucky he was to have us in his life.  Love him!!

an easy fruit loop rainbow craft!

use a shamrock cookies cutter, and paint with it!

or just use your hands and create a hand-print shamrock

or whip up some green play-doe for an hour of fun!

Pick something that would bring you and your family joy and do it this week to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

Read Across America Day - Dr. Suess' Birthday!

Today we celebrate Dr. Seuss Birthday, or Read Across America Day!  Here are two of my favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss made into printables! They were made for size 13X19, but if you crop them they work well for a 4X6, or 5X7 as well!

In Preschool today we are going to use baby Goldfish and put the appropriate number in each fish bowl!
I made these last night for my daughters 1st grade class.  They were asked to bring a snack to share with the class for their Dr. Seuss reading hour.  The Lorax guy (Nutter Butters, candy eyes, and yellow chocolate) and the bears(teddy grahams) who LOVED Marshmallows just like my daughter!

I would say it was a little over the top, but it was fun for me to do!
