Who knew Spiders could be so fun?

We love our IKEA lantern's, they are so Versatile!!!

We applied vinyl spider webs and spiders to the inside of the lantern with spider webbing underneath!

(The spider webbing was a pain to work with, I would do something different next time!)

Who knew donut holes could double as SPIDER EGGS?

Monster Mash- Halloween

Isn't it great when Target's dollar section comes through for you?

We just added some pipe cleaners in a plaster of paris cup (Painted black )  inside so the eyeballs would poke out of the buckets.

We got the eyeballs at Dollar Tree and just drilled a hole in the bottom of them for the pipe Cleaner to go into.

Scattered chocolate eyeballs around.... Wow, easy peasy centerpiece!!  

We loved the bright colors!  The napkin rings all had eyeballs on too.

We brightened up the front wall with Paper Plate monsters and eyeballs!

Mummies Rule

It's always fun when we can let everyone take home a part of the centerpiece.  

So for October we took  Cans of Pepperidge Farm Pirouette rolled wafers  and wrapped them up like mummies.

Everyone was very happy to get to take one home with them.

Gluing Eyes on the place-mats took very little time and seemed to add an element of fun.

Halloween

For our Halloween Luncheon, we found witches hats at a local grocery store for only $1.00.  We added some feathers and a bow and they made a fun centerpiece.  We gave them away as door prizes and 10 people went home with really cute witch hats.    We feel like the paper placemats add a lot of color and they really protect our nice tablecloths also!!

It’s the most “Boo”tiful time of year

These Ghosts were so fun to make and looked so cute on the black tablecloths for our October Luncheon.   I just used Gauze purchased from the Fabric Store, soaked it a few minutes in  Liquid starch formed it over a balloon on top of a bottle.  I put a plastic tablecloth down on my counter for them to dry on.   It was fun and I would definitely do this again!!    

 One lucky winner at each table took the ghost home with them.

Halloween Growth Chart

The Halloween decoration I love most (as well as any visitors) is our Halloween "Growth Chart" 

For several years we have been painting feet ghosts, and spider hands and recording my kids ages on them.

Nothing more fun than to see how quickly they grow!

To make the spiders, simply place both of the child's hands in black paint (trying not to get the thumb) and then place it onto the paper! One on top of the other in opposite directions!  Add googly eyes, or use paint to make your own eyes!

For the ghost's, simply place child's foot in white paint, then onto the paper.  After it's dry, use googly eyes, or a marker to draw eyes for the final touch!

Do it for one year, and treasure the keepsake.  Of do it for several years!  So easy, yet so fun.
