Christmas Appreciation for Church Teachers and Leaders

We usually remember to thank our kids school teachers, but what about our kids church leaders?  Grab a fun treat and attach this cute tag to show them you are grateful for their efforts!

Santa Belt Christmas

It's always hard to decide on centerpieces for Christmas because there are so many amazing ideas out there.

This year we chose to do A "Santa Belt" theme.  It was a lot of fun!

We made three different sizes of cones for each table.  It was a lot easier to make the cones using a paper mache cone to form it around.

We filled these gift boxes with yummy chocolate candy for them to take home

The Silverware and napkin holders added a lot to the table.

SWEET sounds of Christmas

 We always have the High School Madrigals come to entertain us at our luncheon in December, so Sweet "Sounds" of Christmas was  our theme.

These peppermints were so fun to make.  I first thought of painting the swirls on the paper plates.  I was a little overwhelmed with that and then a good friend suggested to just get color copies of a peppermint.  PERFECT!!!  I just glued the copy on to two paper plates and glued them together.  Wrapped them up in cellophane tied with bows.  They were so bright and fun.  Thank you to Amy D for the initial idea of the peppermint!!

The peppermints would have been fine for the centerpieces but instead I used them around the room and found beautiful peppermint wrapping paper at Hobby Lobby and just wrapped boxes for the centerpieces.  For the napkin rings I just put cellophane through a small color copy of a peppermint just cut out with a punch.

Easy Christmas Neighbor Gift

We attached this cute tag to a black and white spatula from IKEA, or it would be super cute on a Betty Crocker Red spatula from Dollar Tree as well. Simple, easy, useful neighbor gift.

Light the World

This year, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has chosen for the second year in a row the theme "Light the World" for it's Christmas initiative.  

I made some Light the World printables last year, but I wanted to make a few new ones! These are formatted for an 8X10.  Simply right click on the picture, save it, and print it from your computer or send it to your favorite printing place (Walmart, Costco...)

"THERE'S 'SNOW' BODY LIKE YOU!!

Snowmen are my favorite!!  You can't look at a snowman and not smile!!

These snowmen were so fun and easy to make!   I just drew a snowman face and then photocopied them.  I added the little orange to the carrot and red to the checks by hand so I didn't have to pay for color copies.  For the hat you just hot glue or stitch a tube and then tie one end with yarn.  We tore the fabric into one inch strips for the scarves.  It would be really cute to use real buttons, but that wasn't in our budget  

The snowmen looked so cute all together on the table and everyone loved taking a cute snowman home and eating the Pringle chips!!

We also had a Hershey bar made into a snowman for them to take home.  We made them just the same as the Pringles cans

We gave them water bottles with "MELTED SNOWMAN" water bottle labels on.  If you search "snowman water bottle labels" on Pinterest there are a lot of great printables for the water bottles.

You won't go wrong decorating with Snowmen!!

Elf Themed Christmas Centerpiece

"HAVE YOUR "ELF" A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS"

Oh what a fun theme this was to decorate with!!  Elves are just magical and so whimsical!!

For our centerpiece I just bought green containers at Dollar Tree.  I put a fake bottom in them so it wouldn't take so much popcorn to fill them up and supported the legs better.  I made the elf legs out of wrapping paper tubes covered with cute wrapping paper and just glued the elf shoes together and slipped on the end of the wrapping paper tubes.  Using red and green melted chocolate I drizzled the popcorn so it looked more festive.  I also added red and green accents for color.  For the belt I found it easiest to use stick on vinyl and cut the buckle out with my Cricut machine!   The centerpieces made a great doorprize.

The elf napkin holders were so cute and colorful on the table.  I am glad I had a Cricut machine to cut the buckles out with however!!  Thanks for the idea here: http://diytotry.com/20-easy-cheap-diy-christmas-crafts/2/

For their favor to take home we gave them a bag of "Elf Kisses".   There are a lot of cute printable for this on Pinterest!!

I loved how bright and happy the room looked as everyone entered from the cold and snowy day!!

Light the World
